About me

I'm Dr. Miriam Alonso Carpio, a plastic surgeon in Valencia. I graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia and trained as a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hospital La Fe de Valencia. I completed my training with fellowships at Hospital La Paz (Madrid), IM Clinic (Barcelona) and NYU Langone Health (New York), among others.

I hold a PhD in Medicine, graded Cum Laude, for my doctoral thesis on the advanced study of scars, and it is something I keep very much in mind in every operation.

I currently work at Hospital Clínic de València, in the Reconstructive Breast Surgery Unit. I also see patients in my private practice at Clínica Pôeme, in the centre of Valencia, performing breast surgery, body surgery and lipedema surgery.

I'm a member of SECPRE (Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery). I combine my vocation for medicine and surgery with teaching and research.
